Hello! I'm sorry I've been off the map for the last two (three) days. It's been a whirlwind of adventure. On Friday the group of exchange students (about 40 of us) arrived in Paris, we were immediately take out into the city to accomidate the students who probably wouldn't be able to make it back. We went on a boat ride past a lot of monuments (The Louvre, The Eiffel Tower, The mini Statue of Liberty, along with a few smaller ones), we visited the Arc de Triomphe and Champs - Elysees, and finally, the Eiffel Tower. It was very beautiful, but extremely cold (coming from a Canadian). We had orientation with the Association on Saturday, and that afternoon we met our host families and reunited with our exchange partners.
Agathe's family is extremely wonderful and accomidating to my little knowledge of French. Sabine (Agathe's mother) studied in England for a while when she was younger, and is very happy to practice English on me, so much so, that she is stopped by Agathe ("The French Policewoman") and told to return to French, or at least repeat what she said in French. I'm starting school tomorrow (yay ...). It's going to be an extremely long day (8 am-6pm), and I hope That I'll be able to make it through.
Thank you for all of your prayers, knowing have I so many praying for my safe trip has been a great comfort, I hope that it helps with me learning the language as well ;) Good night from Europe.
